Assistant Controller

Job Description

As Assistant Controller you are responsible for the accounting of the De Monchy National Products entities, reporting to the Manager Finance & Operations. Together with the Group Controller, you are responsible for developing and managing financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures. You coordinate, prepare and lead the annual budget forecasting cycle. Other tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Leading the monthly closing process.
  • Preparation of the annual report, including consolidation.
  • Preparing and coordinating the audit by external auditor.
  • Further develop and deploy Power BI reports in the organization.
  • Set up periodic forecasts (including cash and working capital).
  • Participate in various projects, including improvement of the (financial) ICT environment.
  • Managing and complying with reporting requirements and tax returns from local, state and federal governments.
  • Checking registered invoices in accounting software and keeping track of the (digital) financial administration, A/R (including credit management) A/P, stock and position report (including analyses on request).

Job Profile

You’re an efficient communicator and always looking for ways to improve and streamline the processes that you’re involved with. You are accurate and you like to work in a dynamic, positive environment to develop your own skills and interests. You bring those unique qualities, with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor (HBO) in (Business) Economics and/or Accountancy.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a finance position.
  • Experience/affinity with the food industry, preferably with raw materials and/or ingredients is an asset.
  • Experience in working in an international business environment.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
  • Computer literate (incl. MS Office, Accounting software, Power BI, ERP and CRM software).
  • Team player, but also able to work alone.
  • Attention to details and a systematic way of working.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic in solving problems.

Junior Customer Care Officer

Job Description

You will be part of a creative, dynamic international work environment where you will collaborate with supportive colleagues. As our Customer Care Officer, you are the point of contact for our existing and potential customers in EMEA. You will be adding value and knowledge to the customer’s journey by managing a part of their experience. The most important tasks are:

  • Reviewing, preparing, monitoring, and routing purchase and sales orders Timely and accurate administration of sales orders, customer complaints, material returns and credits.
  • Respond to customer requests for MSDS, Certifications, etc.
  • Assisting the sales team with stock location and availability questions in a timely manner
  • Assisting the sales team by organizing, tracking and shipping product samples to customers/partners
  • Becoming a product expert and understanding each customer’s needs to provide real, effective solutions and deliver exceptional customer care.
  • Managing deadlines to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible.
  • Supporting the Marketing and Sales team in the general commercial processes.
  • Collaborating with other team members and departments to improve overall processes and tools.

Job Profile

You are customer-oriented and passionate about providing excellent customer service. You have a hands-on mentality. You work accurately, independently and proactively. You bring those unique qualities, with the following skills and qualifications:

  • College (MBO) or Bachelor (HBO) in business, marketing, economics or related field.
  • Experience in sales and understanding the sales process and dynamics.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Affinity with the food industry, preferably with commodities and/or ingredients is an asset.
  • Experience and understanding of international logistics is a plus: coordinating shipments by air, sea and road, understanding of incoterms; custom clearance, etc.
  • International experience.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch. (German, French, Spanish or another EU language is an asset.)
  • Computer literate (incl. MS Office).

Quality Control & Assurance Officer

Job Description

You will be part of a creative, dynamic international work environment where you will collaborate with supportive colleagues. You will be mainly responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards of the products we produce and trade. Quality Control

  • Product inspection and sampling.
  • Manage and operate internal laboratory (product testing).
  • Manage workload with both internal and external laboratories and surveyors.
  • Reporting and trending of results / product conformity (LIMS).
  • Specifications management.
  • Management of Certificates of Analyses.
  • Perform additional product analysis for (market) developments/requests.
  • Site inspections for cleaning, hygiene, pest control and maintenance / utilities.
  • Verification of quality / quantity.
  • Maintenance of testing equipment.

 

Quality Assurance

  • Support in handling incidents / complaints.
  • Assist in internal and external audits.
  • Manage requirements from standards and customers.
  • Support QA&C Manager in ongoing business.

Job Profile

You are a real go-getter, who likes to be both commercially and quality-conscious within a diversified job in an international environment. You bring those unique qualities, with the following skills and qualifications:

  • College degree in Laboratory, Food Technology or comparable study.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Experience with particular products (Vanilla/Cinnamon).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Nice to have: experience in Technical/Quality related role in the Food Industry and knowledge of GFSI Quality Management Systems.
