Spice Type

Clove

Native to the Maluku islands in Indonesia, cloves are a spice product in the form of dark brown dried whole flower buds. With a bitter, pungent and spicy aromatic profile, cloves are primarily harvested in Indonesia, India, Madagascar and Sri Lanka, and exported to be used in many food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations.

Cardamom

Produced in Guatemala, Indonesia, Vietnam and India, cardamom is a spice made from seeds of the ginger plant family. Economically, on the spice world market, cardamom is one of the most traded spice, and comes in two different varieties: green cardamom (also called true cardamom), with a strong flavor, more appropriate to sweet flavors, and black cardamom, with smoky undertones, making it adapted to savory preparations.

Turmeric

Historically from the South-East of Asia, turmeric is a spice mostly produced in Telangana & Maharashtra regions of India, the world’s leading country in turmeric production. With a warm, bitter taste (also known as the main spice of curry powders), its complex profile and possible health benefits allows the use of turmeric in many applications such as supplements, cosmetics and in the food and beverage industry.

Nutmeg

Our nutmeg comes from the Banda islands of Indonesia. Its cultivation there is responsible for giving the name of “Spice Islands” to the area. With an exceptional pungent fragrance and a warm taste, with hints of sweet notes, nutmeg is a prized flavor in various preparations.
