Exchanging ideas and knowledge with agronomy students
In the month of September we received several visitors at our facilities in Sambava, including a group of agronomy students from the capital, Antananarivo. They were interested to see the practical side of growing and curing vanilla beans – one of the main crops grown in Madagascar. We were happy to host them at our facilities to show them our processes and to exchange our different ideas and expertise with each other.
A fun-packed, educational day thanks to Alliance Française
We also had a special visit from Alliance Française de Sambava at our school in Ambohimanarina. It was a fun-packed and educational day for the students of this school with activities, reading and surprises – all in French. It’s heartwarming to know that the school we helped to build offers a place for these kids to learn, play and to have the opportunity to broaden their horizons.
Future tertiary education projects
Looking ahead, we are working on a project in which we will be able to offer courses on agricultural product cultivation. Through these courses we will be able to help the local farming communities deepen their knowledge of the best farming practices for the different crops found in Madagascar.
